Go New Forest CIC is a not for profit Community Interest Company Registration Number 10604201 registered in England and Wales.
GNF operates as a destination development business with the prime objective of marketing and promoting the destination for the benefit of businesses operating within the New Forest and other areas where applicable.
MEMBERSHIP CONDITIONS
All membership application decisions are accepted at the absolute discretion of Go New Forest CIC.
The GNF Membership year runs from 1 January to 31 December. Pro rata rates apply on 1 May (for May-Dec) & 1 September (for Sept-Dec).
Membership is open to businesses which fall within the categories stated on the Membership Rate Card and operating within or adjacent to the border of the New Forest District, with the following exceptions:
Corporate Membership is open to local, regional and national companies
Commercial Attractions outside of the New Forest District will be considered for membership if within a reasonable driving distance.
National Self-Catering Agencies – Go New Forest CIC will accept membership applications from a national Self-Catering Agency or one of its wholly owned business “brands” if it meets each of the following criteria:
a) The membership application is made on behalf of a New Forest focused business with a dedicated New Forest website within its company portfolio.
b) The www.thenewforest.co.uk product page only promotes property which is in the New Forest area
c) The product page does not contain any direct links to properties outside of the New Forest area.
Refusal & Revoking of Membership: GNF reserves the right to refuse or revoke GNF Membership at any time, particularly if it feels such membership is not in the interests of Go New Forest, its members or the destination.
Sector Groups: Members work in sector groups and together represent the New Forest collectively. Each group has an appointed Chair and Vice-Chair for a term of two years.
Marketing: Each sector group is represented on the Little Acorns Destination Marketing Group.Member Voting – The nominated representative or reserve acting on their behalf are eligible to vote on matters when required to do so at the direction of GNF. The Go New Forest Business Plan is set by the GNF Board and reviewed annually. Operational policies are delivered by the Chief Executive Officer and team
ADVERTISING CONDITIONS:
Website advertising:
(a) All Members receive a business product page on the destination website www.thenewforest.co.uk as part of their membership.
(b) It is the responsibility of each Member to ensure that all information on their product page is up to date and that good quality images are used. It is important to regularly check your page/s, and to ensure that any offers are still valid and have not expired.
(c) Simpleview is our appointed web developer and host the website under a Service Level Agreement; as such GNF accept no liability for any failure of operation of the website.
Printed advertising:
In these conditions, the following expressions shall have the following meanings:
“The Publisher” means Go New Forest CIC.
“The Advertiser” means the organisation whose advertisement has been booked for inclusion in the publication or website.
The Publisher reserves the right to refuse or accept any Advertiser as it deems fit to do so.
“Membership or Advertisement Rates” means the rates for advertisements and/or membership shown on the Publisher’s rate card and website.
“Closing Date” means the closing date for receipt of orders and advertisements. Any orders received after this date will be inserted at the sole discretion of the publisher and may be subject to a 10% surcharge.
These conditions shall apply to all Advertisements accepted for publication by the Publisher. Any other proposed conditions shall be void unless incorporated clearly in written instructions and specifically accepted in writing by the Publisher.
All advertisements are accepted subject to the Publisher’s subsequent approval of the copy and to the space being available. The layout and design of the publication will be at the Publisher’s sole discretion unless agreed by separate arrangement
All advertisement bookings must be made on-line through the E-Shop or by completing a booking form, where available, and returning it to Go New Forest CIC.
The Publisher reserves the right to omit or suspend an advertisement at any time if:
(a) the Publisher in its sole discretion considers that the advertisement or any part thereof would if published in the publication be detrimental to the reputation of the publication or the Publishers generally; or
(b) the Publisher in its sole discretion considers that the Advertisement or any part thereof is in any way patronising towards or disparaging of the publication, the Publisher of their respective readers and customers; or
(c) the Publisher may reasonably consider that publication of the Advertisement or any part thereof would contravene an Act of Parliament or be in any other way illegal or defamatory or an infringement of the British Code of Advertising Practice or such other standards as may from time to time be set by the Advertising Standards Authority; or
(d) the Publisher may reasonably consider that publication of the Advertisement or any part thereof could give rise to a claim by a third party against the Publisher on whatsoever grounds; or
(e) the Advertisement is in the sole opinion of the Publisher for a product and/or services unreasonably competitive to another product and/or services which is the subject of another Advertisement appearing in the relevant issue of the publication.
(f) It is incumbent upon every GNF Member business to ensure that their business complies with all relevant legislation and holds the required level of public liability insurance. This must run for the duration of the advertising/membership concerned.
Errors
Proof: All display advertisers will receive one electronic colour proof prior to printing. If no response is received from the Advertiser indicating his approval or otherwise to a proof by the deadline given, then the advertisement will be published.
Every care is taken to avoid mistakes but the Publisher cannot accept liability for any errors due to third parties, subcontractors or inaccurate copy instructions. It is the responsibility of the Advertiser to check the proof supplied and notify the Publisher immediately of any errors. The Publisher shall not be responsible for the correction or errors unless notified by the Advertiser. In the event of any error, misprint or omission in the Publication of an advertisement or part of an advertisement (however caused) to Publisher will either re-publish the advertisement or relevant part of the advertisement as the case may be or make a reasonable refund or adjustment to the cost. No republication, refund or adjustment will be made where the error, misprint or omission does not materially detract from the advertisement.
Limitation on Liability
In no circumstances shall the total liability of the Publisher for any error, misprint or omission exceed:
(a) The amount of a full refund of any price paid to the Publisher for the advertisement in connection with which liability arose; or
(b) The cost of a further or corrective advertisement of a type and standard reasonably comparable to that in connection with which liability arose.
Save as set out above, the Publisher accepts no liability in respect of any loss or damage occasioned directly or indirectly as a result of publication of any advertisement or any loss or damage occasioned directly or indirectly by any total or partial failure (however caused) of publication of any advertisement or of Publication in which any advertisement is scheduled to appear.
All property belonging to the Advertiser, including original artwork, is held at the owner’s risk and the Advertiser is responsible for ensuring that the same are insured against loss or damage from whatever cause. The Publisher reserves the right to destroy all artwork which has been in its custody for twelve months from the date of its most recent publication in the publication.
The Advertiser warrants that the Advertisement does not contravene any Act of Parliament nor is it in any other way illegal or defamatory or an infringement of the British Code of Advertising Practice or such other standards as may from time to time be set by the Advertising Standards Authority.
All Advertisement rates are gross but exclusive of VAT.
Charges additional to the Advertisement Rates will be made to the Advertiser for all costs incurred directly or indirectly by the Publisher as a result of artwork being provided to the Publisher:-
(a) other than in accordance with the specifications contained in the Publisher’s annual rate card.
(b) after the agreed dated for its submission.
These additional charges will be at the rates (exclusive of VAT) shown on the Publisher’s rate card from time to time in force.
Complaints regarding reproduction of the advertisement must be received in writing within one calendar month of the publication.
Non supply of artwork by the advertiser in sufficient time for advertisement design and proofing will result in full advertisements cancellation fees.
Terms of Payment: Payment is due 30 days on receipt of invoice if payment is not made via WorldPay or unless otherwise agreed with Go New Forest CIC.
Any publication date is for guidelines only, the Publisher is not responsible for late publication and advertisers will not be entitled to any refund.
These conditions and all other express terms of the contract shall be constructed in accordance with English Law.
Consents
The placing of an order by an Advertiser constitutes an assurance that all necessary authority and consents have been secured in respect of the use in the advertisement(s) (a) of pictorial or any other representations of (or purporting to be of) living persons, and of references to any words attributed to living persons and (b) any material the copyright in which vests in a third party.
Cancellation
Cancellation charges after first proof £50
After proofing stage 50% of the cost of the advertisement unless space can be resold in which case £30 administration fee will apply.
After final layout 100% unless space can be resold in which case £30 administration fee will apply.
PLACING YOUR MEMBERSHIP/ADVERTISING ORDER
We have made it as easy as possible for you to place an order. All advertising rates are exclusive of VAT.
If you make a mistake in placing your order and cannot correct it please contact us by email () and we will endeavour to correct the mistake.
Payment: Once you have chosen the products you wish to purchase, please click on the relevant item/s in the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection please click on “Checkout” and you will be asked for a few details that we need to complete your order. You will receive confirmation of your order once it has been processed.
You may pay by Visa or Mastercard or you can elect, where applicable, to pay by invoice (30 day payment terms). If we enter an agreement for you to pay by instalments, then you are agreeing to pay the total fee over an agreed period of time and all of the payments must be made. Your credit card details are processed via WorldPay on their secure services; they are not held in clear text on our website. Card Holder information is not stored on any GNF devices.
Currencies accepted: We can only accept payments through your WorldPay Payment Gateway in £ Pounds, Sterling.
Refunds
You are entitled to cancel your order within 7 working days of the date of order for a full refund. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. Payments made via World Pay must be credited to the same card that the original payment was made. You are responsible for any costs incurred between placing your order and cancellation. Refund of Membership outside the scope of the above period will not be made unless under exceptional circumstances.
Terms & Conditions: These terms and conditions apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future. None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
