The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu is seeking a Curatorial Assistant, to support the documentation and practical delivery of public programmes for the Museum’s Object Collection and the Caravan and Motorhome Club Collection.
The National Motor Museum Trust (NMMT) is a charitable organisation dedicated to engaging and inspiring people with the story of motoring through world class collections. There are over 250 vehicles and extensive object, photographic, archive and library collections, all of which have Designated status. In addition, the Caravan and Motorhome Club Collection has been hosted at the Museum since 2006, complementing the leisure motoring holdings of the NMMT.
Having recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, the NMMT is embarking on an ambitious strategy to reposition itself for the future in regards to its collections and its engagement with audiences. This is an exciting opportunity to join an enthusiastic and proactive Collections Team within an Accredited museum and support the activities of key collections. The ideal candidate will have an enthusiastic and flexible approach, with a demonstrable practical experience of working with museum collections.
