Grounds Manager
Location: Sandy Balls Holiday Village, New Forest, Hampshire
Hours of work: Full Time – Permanent
Salary: £28,000+ DOE
What we need in a nutshell
We’re looking for a Grounds manager to lead and manage the team that keeps our park looking fabulous and running smoothly, covering everything from Landscaping, Slab laying, bins are emptied and litter picked. We need someone who cares about the environment and who is a great leader with attention detail.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be leading the grounds team keeping the park in tip top condition and ensuring that it is presented beautifully for guests. This includes:
Leading, managing and motivating a team of park assistants to present the park at its best Maintaining high standards of all garden areas and flower beds to create a great first impression Managing a team rota for mowing and strimming throughout the park in a 7-day cycle Ensuring front of house areas are well-kept and any works are completed before opening hours Conducting daily checks to ensure all areas of the park are pristine and litter free Managing your budget by getting value for money from outside contractors, managing staff levels effectively and ensuring tools and equipment are looked after and securely stored Training your team on equipment usage and park procedures.
Ensure all aspects of this diverse holiday park are maintained and cared for including Forest areas, River banks and central customer spaces.
Ensuring Health and Safety policies are in place and adhered to by the team One more thing…we’re always busy at holiday times, so you’ll need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too.
Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need
We are looking for an organised and self-motivated team leader who can tick the following boxes:
Experience in a similar role and of managing a team Experience with machinery such as hedge cutters, mowers and strimmer’s as well understanding of Health & Safety requirements as well as fencing and slab laying.
Excellent written and verbal skills and basic computer skills.
Problem solving skills and the ability to think creatively Customer focused, with a friendly and helpful attitude It would be the icing on the cake if you have a relevant NVQ or a trade qualification and if you have experience working on a holiday park.
